Flight Delay metal print by Larry Whitler.   Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Artist's Description

My first editorial illustration assignment was from an elementary school teacher. I don’t remember which grade. What I DO remember is she wanted us kids to put together a newspaper. One of my friends was assigned to write a sports story on a baseball game at a nearby field. My assignment, since I could draw, was to create an editorial illustration. It was probably my first time hearing the term “editorial illustration.” So, here is my editorial illustration from news stories this week of flight delays caused by the recent hurricane. I painted this using the gouache brush on Procreate.
